Well fantastic site, and I have only been around about 10% of it! Im researching my first 4wd. and enjoyed the petrol V diesel report. I have narrowed mine to a lwb, MANUAL, diesel... Im thinking of the Maverick/Patrol or the pajero. I like to be different, and intend to spend LARGE amoutns of time off road. Having raced the Wynns safari on a bike years ago, I know how wonderful the outback an its people are and miss that! Take care people.

HMMM!! Dropping engine revs by adding a supercharger?? Don't think so. Altering diff' ratios, swapping tyres, all those driveline related things, but not changing the amount of air being forced into the engine. Maybe the author should climb behind the wheel of a REALLY slow diesel, like a 2.2 Hilux or old Jackaroo. Then he might appreciate how well the normally apsirated 'Cruisers go!! Can't say I'm overly impressed with some of the photos. I 'wheeled for many years in WA, and have covered most of the tracks (and then some). Getting stuck is all part of the trip, but in an age when track closures are the norm, the images in this site do little to promote access for all. I bet the WA Association and CALM are not too popular with this portrayal of the WA track usage. I have seen the wholesale track closures in NSW and do not wish to see the same thing happen in the West. Just my thoughts, anyway.

Your site is excellent. The techniques section is the best, most accurate, practical and most concise exposition on 4x4 driving I have seen. I run a small fleet (8) 4WDs as part of my job and the next best thing my team will get to the training courses they have attended will be the information you have put on your site. It is particularly relevant to NZ (and I guess Oz) with its emphasis on sand, mud and hills, the things we most often face, as compared with most Yank sites which usually focus on rock crawling. Hi, I’m a new 4WD enthuiast, having used them for years growing up on a farm - but its not quite the same :)
Anyway I just wanted to thank you for an EXCELLENT site. It is well presented, well structured, EXTREMELY informative and its helped me out alot. I’ve spent a good half a day reading all the articles and techniques, and had a good laugh as well at some of the pictures etc.

I do not own a 4 X 4 but may buy a Safari 4.2 Turbo soon ( I hope to find one in my price-range ) . I downloaded some of your photos, but once enlarged they are not viewable due to distortion. It would be good if the photos were able to go to full screen without too much distortion. Other than that I think it is a very good site with plenty of options. PS NZ looks very boring compared to some of the photos
We are limited by our file space, hence the 500 pixel photo size.

Have just discovered your Internet Magazine while seeking Info on local Perth 4WD Clubs.It's great, keep up the good work.
Your track info and readers trips are tops. The more of that the better. A Classified section for readers to sell/buy gear would go down well.
I've just seen the "about us" section - again very interesting. More articles of a personal nature like that and the readers trips etc and you've got the makings of the best 4WD Mag available to Perth readers.Obviosly it takes a lot of time and effort and hopefully there will be a way of a dollar in it for you.Like I said it's great and I'll certainly visit your site regularly.
