Rough plan:

  1. Depart The Lakes turn off at 0700 sharp. Means an 0600 start for you Northerners, I'm sure you can handle it.

  2. Proposed night 1 campsite, overlooking Lake JohnsonHyden by 1100 to 1200. Drop in and say "hi" to Skip's Sister on the way through. Make camp at Lake Johnston, comfortably before dark.

  3. Break camp by 0800 and try and make Norseman by 1200 latest, allowing for a bit of exploring of Lake Johnston.

  4. 193 k's - 2 hrs to Balladonia from Norseman, arrive there 1430 latest, allows for refuelling etc. at Norseman if necessary

  5. Leave Balla 1500 latest. Allow 2 hour's driving max before setting camp in daylight at 1700. No idea yet if there's any camp sites on that track, will try and find out. Should be an easy day's drive and allows for the "..it happens" factor, as well as short side trips, if any. Monday NIGHT

  6. Scenic coastline around Bremer bay, which is one spot that we may have a look at on the way around the coast.Arrive Israelite Bay approx 1000? Tuesday. Set up a good camp for 2 or 3 nights. Relaxing lunch, explore the I.B. area. Mon NIGHT. Maybe a day trip exploring East of I.B. Explore the historic "Telegraph Station" which is in the vicinity. Tue. NIGHT. Maybe another day trip exploring the bays S.E of I.B. particularly Cape Arid itself. Wed. NIGHT.

  7. Break camp Thursday am. How about a caravan park at Esperance Thursday night for showers and a good meal?. Thu. NIGHT

  8. The Dunes of the Warren River National Park, near YeagerupAfter an easy night, bolt for Yeagerup Fri. morning. Arrive ASAP, late morning tea or early lunch, play in the dunes or on the beach. Camp Fri NIGHT, drive home Sat, maybe take in the Marg. River cellars on the way to pick up a nice bottle or 3 of a good red, for enjoying after unpacking Sat, and cleaning Sun.
