CSR - Day 10 - Sunday 15th July.....to.....
Day 13 - Wednesday 18th July

Sunday:
Given that Tonka's Clutch had seized, and there was no-one in Wyndham that could help, we headed for Kununurra. Being a Sunday, no workshops were open, so we setup camp in the Hidden Valley caravan park, and had a swim and a relaxing evening.

Monday:
Tonka's starter motor failed as well, with a sticky solenoid. We purchased a new tyre (as we had blown both our spares), then went to the local Holden dealership, to see if they could fix Tonka under warranty.

Holden said that the earliest they could look at Tonka was Friday, and then it could be a further 5 days for parts to arrive, then a couple of days to fit the clutch kit. So given our limited time, this was not an option.

We then phoned the Holden dealer in Broome, and got the same story, so that was effectively the end of our trip, and we were forced to drive the car non-stop to Perth, skipping the other spots we wanted to visit, like Millstream, Mt Augustus, Lake Argyle etc..

So we hit the road from Kununarra at about 9am and drove non-stop to Perth, over 3200k in 36 hours, with a seized clutch, and dicky starter motor. We paused for a 3 hour sleep in the car just passed Port Hedland.

Tuesday:
Drove all day, stopping only for re-fueling, and to buy a snack. Re-fueling had to be done with the engine running, and we had to push the car up-to speed before we could select first gear. We arrived home 1am Wednesday morning.
