Welcome to Skip and Cam's 4WD trip pages up the 'Canning Stock Route'

The Canning Stock Route is the longest Stock Route in the world. All off-road from Wiluna South to Halls Creek in the North. Skip and Cam have been planning this trip for many, many Months. All 4WD trip planning have been finalized and the vehicle is ready for launch.

Cam an I would like to thank the following people....

1. Geoff Couper (Froggy), Treasurer of the 4WD club, who has written and will be updating the above web page.

2. Frank from Wizard of Oz, our mechanic who has performed magic on Tonka to get it ready on time (and pretty close to budget <grin>).

3. Mark Peacock (Captain), who has provided me with Diff breathers, Stainless steel mesh for radiator protection, Loaned me a GPS, and provided me with advice along the way. Until only a few days ago, Captain was to accompany us in his Land Cruiser, when his employer forced him to cancel his leave.

4. Pete Kerr (Gadget) for providing me with parts, like Donaldson pre-cleaner, snatch straps etc, and also offering his Turfa to us.

5. Wayne Rushton (Tonka2) for providing advice on the CSR and surrounding areas, and loaning us several jerry cans for the trip, .

6. Paul from Track Torque (ARB) for providing me with advice and bits & pieces for my 4wd along the way. Also for a free ARB flag for my antenna! ;-)

7. Fred from Go Camping (Balcatta) for his advice, and supply of fridge, sleeping bag, camp oven and other bits and pieces that I have purchased for this trip.

8. Dad for loaning me the EPIRB. I hope we don't need it!

Other thanks: Onya Cam for providing the 2nd inverter, CD player, and Laptop. Also thanks Chris (mudrunner) for offering your help. Also thanks to Russell Parker, who originally was to be part of this trip, and hence offered his advice, and use of his RFDS radio. And also thanks to Digger, who again was part of the original convoy, but was unable to come on the trip.

The vehicle is a Holden Rodeo, 4 cylinder Turbo diesel, proudly owned by Skip. Cam is the co-driver.
