Friday night meeting place is the turn off to YORK from GREAT EASTERN HIGHWAY.

It is also and most commonly known as the LAKES turn off!

There is a Service Station there, please wait there if you are the first to arrive, thanks.

Perth estimated time of departure is 6.00pm. See you all there.

Thanks and a Tad of History

The Holland Track was first cut out of the wilderness by John Holland back at the turn of the Century, 1893. This old pioneer track was cut through the bush by horse and cart and was opened to supply the Goldfields from the early stages of the developing Western Australian Wheatbelt.  Western 4WDriver "Holland Track" map book

1893 Slashed from the bush during the goldrushes of the West's roaring nighties, Holland Track formed a short-lived alternative route to the Eastern Goldfields. The original 500km course between Broomhill and Gnarlbine Rock South West of Coolgardie, claimed at the time to be the longest cart track ever cut in one stretch in WA. Was opened up as a direct result of the discovery of the Coolgardie Goldfeild. Cover of the map book depicted right.  

We would like to take this opportunity in commending and congratulating the 1993 centenary team in opening the Holland Track to all 4WD vehicles.

Perth to Hyden 340km TBA It is recommended that this leg is travelled Friday night. If leaving Saturday morning, you will be behind the wheel for at least 11hrs. Departure time from Perth is 6.00pm.

Wave Rock/Hyden 9.00am Saturday morning meeting location
Wave Rock Departure 10.00am All vehicles departing in convoy.
Wave Rock to Start 10.40am 57km. Group discussion on whether we head South to Emu Rock and do the return trip of 16km.
Cat Camp 4.30pm - 5.00pm Hopefully we camp here!

Coolgardie arrival 3.00pm Hopefully, this includes getting in all the sites as well.
