Holland Track
Adventure - 3 & a half day trip - Departing 1PM on Friday 8th Nov
from Skip's place. You will need to take Monday off, as we will be arriving home
late Monday Arvo. Friday night will be at Skip's Sister's farm in Mount Walker
(Karen & Eric), where will will be able to catch and eat some Yabbies, and
possibly also go shooting to help control their vermin problem (rabbits &
fox). Although some of us will have to stay in tents, there is power available,
and we can also use their kitchen, shower and toilet. Please bring a bottle of
Port ("clock-tower" or similar) to donate to Eric...consider it the
"camping fee". On Saturday morning, we will make our way to Hyden to
fuel up, and meet up with Iceman at 9am. The rest of Saturday & Sunday will
be spent on the Holland track, at a very leisurely pace, bush camping both
nights. On Monday we pass through Coolgardie and head for home on the black top.
As we are camping in the bush, you will need to be self sufficient (food, water,
camping gear, recovery gear, 1st aide etc). You will also need to bring 1 spare
jerry of fuel (unless you have dual tanks). A 2nd spare tyre is not required for
this trip. Reminder that it can be very hot during the day, yet still be cold at
night!. We will cover approx 1400k, with about 300k being off road. Skip will be
carrying an on-board satellite tracking system, so everyone can see where we
